Job Description: Account Executive, Beijing

Influence Matters, a new and fast growing Beijing based PR agency specialized in helping innovative startups and companies tell their story in and out of China, is looking for a creative, open-minded and passionate young professional to join as an Account Executive. As one of the first employees of the company, you will need a strong entrepreneur spirit, a great ability to learn fast and be able take ownership of tasks and conduct projects independently. You will work directly with the founder of the company, who will support you as a mentor.

Influence Matters will give the right candidate the challenges, tools and mentoring to fast track the development of your PR career, and make sure you have fun at the same time!

Your responsibilities will include:

Client service:

• Identify and introduce new communication trends, tools and opportunities to the agency and clients
• Build a solid understanding and relationship with media and influencers in technology and lifestyle industries
• Assist in the development of creative content for clients and the agency, from press materials to social media posts and blogs
• Support and handle client events and campaigns, online and offline
• Monitor influencers and news within clients’ industries
• Build a strong vendor management system
• Develop account and client relationship management skills

Agency development:

• Support research for prospective clients and participate in proposal development and presentation
• Identify and support agency marketing opportunities including trade media relations, events presence and marketing content development
• Develop leadership skills handling interns and freelancers
• Support the agency’s administration functions such as HR and finance

These are the qualifications we are looking for:

• 1-2 years’ experience in media, PR, marketing or advertising role preferred
• Bachelors degree or above
• A strong will to learn by doing, finding solutions to challenges independently
• An entrepreneur spirit, able to confidently take charge of projects
• A creative mind, able to come up with ideas that will make clients stand out
• Excellent Chinese copywriting skills
• Good command of English, overseas study experience is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, experience with video or design software a plus
