Influence Matters strives to bring a new PR offer to China, tailored to and accessible for startups and SMBs that need a strong partner that can focus on shaping and telling their story, building Influence efficiently and consistently, so they can focus on creating technologies that make the world a more interesting place. Our clients innovate technologies that might save the world one day. At the very least, their mission is to create solutions to keep the world moving forward. They need people who believe in innovation to help them build and tell their story, because they know that without Influence, their innovations are meaningless.

We want to be the agency that houses these people, and does the work that Matters.

To do work that really Matters, all team members have to have the freedom to create Influence strategies following their dreams and beliefs, rather than be formatted and constricted by longstanding agency guidelines that say: “this is how we do it”. This is not how WE do it; we want our people develop an independent sense of purpose, and match it to clients’ strategic needs.

To develop that independence, we foster freedom of thought and idea sharing, at all levels. We break the rules of PR consultancies in China, spending more time on work that Matters, innovative work for our clients, rather chasing revenue growth meaninglessly. Our clients’ success is more important. Our people are more important. The agency benefits only if these two statements are made a reality, and all three (clients, people, the agency) will follow a matching development path. We believe big agencies in China have forgotten this and focus on piling up business to match stringent growth requirements fueled by ever growing costs and demanding investors.

Executives:

Executives are Consultant apprentices. They execute strategies, learning the ropes of Influence creation and delivery, client and team management working with Consultants, while building their network of influencers, tools and vendors gradually.

Consultants:

Consultants use their experience to build innovative PR strategies that deliver Influence that Matters for our clients, managing the team of executives to deliver results, and working toward being thought leaders in their own right, agency managers, and growth agents with the management team.
