The third edition of the Venture Leaders China program, organized by VentureLab and  the Swiss government, was a great success, and we are proud that our Managing Director, Simon Vericel, was asked to take part in the program.

The event was a 10-day business development program specifically organized for 10 promising high-tech Swiss startups, with an interest toward the Chinese market. VentureLab took these selected startups on a trip to the most florid Chinese cities, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, where their leaders had the opportunity to be introduced to the specificities of the Chinese market by a few selected industry experts, and connect with potential partners and customers.

The event kick-off was held on Nov. 25th at the Capital Club in Beijing, and it was considered a great start of the program, with a crucial insight into the Chinese market, lots of information related to IP, venture capital and entrepreneurship in the Asian giant. During the following days, the program also offered an expert workshop and a Tuspark event, which received a high appreciation among the Swiss guests and proved useful in providing personalized professional feedback and a great opportunity to discuss about the peculiarities of the two different markets, Swiss and Chinese ones. The first stage of the event concluded with an evening reception at the Swiss embassy, hosted by the Swiss Ambassador Jean-Jacques de Dardel, which resulted in a successful networking event.
