B2B tech focused PR agency expands its operations to better serve fast growing international innovators in China

Beijing and Shanghai, China, April 29th, 2019– Influence Matters, China’s fastest growing independent B2B tech PR agency focused on creating influence for fast-growing international innovative companies, today announced the opening of a new office in Shanghai, complementing its team of 13 in Beijing. The office opening coincides with the agency’s 4thanniversary and is fueled by a Q1 2019 performance that beat expectations by a significant margin, with several client wins.

Influence Matters’ focus on developing business goal-oriented communication strategies for startups, scale-ups and fast-growing mid-size companies with a highly efficient and nimble approach to client service effectively fills a void in the PR offer in China. Innovative leaders such as Mackevision (CGI), Freeman (brand experience), Harting (smart manufacturing) and Soitec (semiconductors) were joined in the Agency’s roster of clients recently by startups and scale-ups including Paxos Trust (blockchain), The VOID (VR), Adjust (mobile marketing), Artefact (data consulting and digital marketing), Eco-Counter (smart city), and Xcalibyte (software).

Marking a new milestone in Influence Matters’ mission to help organizations make sense of the Chinese tech, startup and communication environments, Jones Lang LaSalle also recently engaged the agency for startup community and tech media relations in support of the real estate giant’s first ever China Proptech Forum and Exhibitions, taking place in Beijing and Shanghai on May 8thand 9th, 2019.

Influence Matters Shanghai’s first team member, Fay Lee, joins as Consultant, bringing with her years’ of expertise in developing PR and marketing strategies for companies in the AI, data intelligence, fintech and blockchain fields. She reports directly to Simon Vericel, Founder and Managing Director, and Daisy Huang, Account Director who oversees Beijing office’s client and team operation. The Agency is still hiring both in Beijing and Shanghai to support the increasing demand for effective B2B PR consulting and services in China.

“Opening our Shanghai office, ahead of our original schedule, is a proud moment for Influence Matters, and a testament to the great successes the team has achieved, especially in the past two years.” said Simon Vericel, Founder and Managing Director at Influence Matters. “It is important for us to be “plugged in” our clients’ business as closely as possible so we can support their business goals with effective communications strategies efficiently. An increasing number of our clients, particularly in MarTech and Fintech, settle their China operations in Shanghai, making it crucial for Influence Matters to develop a team there.”

Beijing and Shanghai offices will work in sync, increasing the value-add of our strategies, efficiency of our operations and quality of our execution for all our clients, as the Agency works its way toward its mission to create influence for innovators in China.
