Influence Matters supporting She Loves Tech’s Global Entrepreneurship Competition
On July 27, 2019, She Loves Tech’s Global Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Shanghai P2 YOYO. The Competition was not only the show stage for outstanding startup teams but also an integrated interactive meeting for entrepreneurs with six workshops and a job fair of eleven employers! After fierce competition, Shenzhen Zicheng Technology won the championship with its user-localized health management service solution. The team won the championship by its child health management system specializing in disease management, disease prediction, and scientific feeding. They will go to Beijing in September to participate in the She Loves Tech’s annual international forum. Under the exposure of international media, they will compete with the winners from 16 different countries globally for the final prize!
On the stage, eight women’s start-up technology teams competed for the ticket to the Beijing final in front of eight professional judges and more than 100 audiences. Under the stage, inspiring workshops and lively job fairs also added more essence to this technology party, further accelerating the growth of start-up entrepreneurs
She Loves Tech Workshops
As a strategic partner of She Loves Tech’s global technology entrepreneurship competition and a public relations consulting company that has been deeply involved in technology for many years, Influence Matters hopes to provide advice to entrepreneurs with its own experience. Simon Vericel, the founder of Influence Matters, participated in the event giving a workshop to entrepreneurs named “Building a first pitch story.”
In the interview with Sohu Technology, Simon gave several advices to female tech entrepreneurs. He believes that gender should not be a hindrance when starting an enterprise. “Because during the process, what entrepreneurs really need is the courage to go forward and the ability to organize and build teams. Entrepreneurs need to be able to attract more people, whether they are employees, customers, investors, or partners. It is also the original intention of the cooperation between Influence Matters and She Loves Tech, which aims to help companies in the technology industry, regardless of size, to reach out to the public so that more people can understand and join the industry.”

Nike’s Chairman Phil Knight once said: “You can have the best products in the world, but if no one knows about it, what good is it?” It is difficult for entrepreneurs to find an audience at the beginning of the company. To this pain point, Simon shared with the audience the experience of how start-ups should communicate with the public and establish and promote their corporate image. He used Terark as an example to describe how startups should find targeted customer groups, investors, introduce their products to the public, and make customers interested after simple and profound corporate introductions that apply to the media, the public and other groups with different backgrounds. “The term public relations may be distant for startups, and most start-ups may not be able to afford public relations agencies, but each company needs to have a public relations and communication awareness, to tell its first story,”said Simon.

As a young, fast-growing and passionate public relations entrepreneurial company, Influence Matters is also actively looking for talents interested in tech PR, exploring more connections among entrepreneurs, industry professionals, and science and technology companies. In the job fair, Influence Matters attracted a lot attention. IM’s Shanghai staff enthusiastically introduced the company’s situation to job seekers and built constructive connections with the active tech ecology at Shanghai.
