Last November, Influence Matters Managing Director Simon Vericel had the pleasure to be invited by Business France, the government organisation in charge of promoting french business overseas, to give a small speech about communication, PR and marketing first steps in China for startups in front of a dozen french tech startup founders and representatives on a trip to explore the Chinese market.

Simon discussed the importance of owning their brand and message in China as early as possible to support a successful market entry. He then introduced the importance of WeChat, and why they should expect their Chinese counterparts to be a lot more direct in business than they are used to in Europe.

French journalists were part of the delegation, and Simon was quoted in this Les Echos report (in french) published on January 5, 2016 about the November tour.
