Challenge

Uhnder, a digital radar startup from the US, was holding a custumer and partner event in China to introduce progress in their innovations and applications of their radars in the automotive industry. The Tech Day event would present a great opportunity to showcase the company’s progress and partnershgips in China to a wider audience of auto OEMs. They needed a PR program that would amplify the reach of the event.

Strategy

Influence Matters proposed to leverage the attendance of the CEO and the VP of Chip to the event to put together media activities. The executives would spend quality time with key editors to introduce the benefits that Chinese OEMs, and auto consumers in China, enjoy from integrating the company’s latest ADAS from Uhnder in their new vehicles. The spokespeople would also demonstrate their commitment ot working with OEMs in China in support of the local automotive industry, the fastest growing in the world.

To reach the target audience and introduce Uhnder’s differentiations from a technical perspective, the team pitched semiconductor and auto tech media to attend a media briefing and the Tech Day event.

To amplify the company’s message from a business perspective, the team also pitched an exclusive interview for the CEO with a prominent Chinese business media outlet (CYZone).

To further expand the outreach, Influence Matters developed a press release about the Tech Day event and distributed it to targeted Chinese media outlets and created WeChat posts to promote the Tech Day event and engage with the Chinese stakeholders.

Impact

The PR campaign achieved impressive results and made a positive impact on Uhnder’s recognition as a key provider of technology to Chinese OEMs.
