Eco-Counter has been in the automated pedestrian and cyclist counting industry for over 15 years, a world leader working on over 800 projects in cities around the world. However, three years of prospecting in China had only let to meetings and interests, but no projects as Chinese stakeholders lacked validation from their traditional channels, from Chinese sources.
Influence Matters proposed a six months PR Activation Program, usually used to build a startup’s reputation in China, to build the first layer of awareness in targeted city planning circles, positioning Eco-Counter as aninternational leader and solution provider to target audience of city planning decision makers in China, with extensive experience developing people and bicycle counting solutions for major cities around the world.
We mapped the ecosystem of influence for Eco-Counter in China and developed a media and social media communication program that would position the company’s solution as an invaluable resource for city planners, especially leveraging the company’s presence at the 2019 Smart City Expo, including overage in “Business Daily”, “TMTPOST”, “China Public Security” and “China Intelligent Transportation System”.
