To celebrate the 5th Anniversary of Influence Matters, we have decided to partner up with 光援计划 Project Guangyuan to launch a donation project.

Schools have switched to online teaching due to COVID-19. However, the lack of telecommunication devices left millions of children in rural areas struggling to attend online classes.

Not only the Influence Matters’ team will be donating, but we are also opening up to everyone who wishes to donate their phones, tablets, laptop, and computer. Influence Matters and Project Guangyuan’s team will work closely together in assisting and connecting you with the students who are in need of these devices to attend online classes.

The Process

> Fill out the registration form: Please find the QR code below to register as a donor. If you have any problem registering as a donor, please email madeleine@inmatt.com.

> Receive school address: Once your device that you are donating is verified by the system and our volunteers, we will send you the address of the beneficiary school that will receive your donation and the headmaster/teachers will hand out your devices to students in need.

> Shipment: The donor is responsible for organizing the shipment of the device to the school**. Our volunteers will monitor the usage of your donated device(s) and send you regular updates (including information and photos of students, school/classroom, *sometimes* handwritten thank you letter). You will also receive a tailored certificate.
**Please note that if you or your entity is donating and shipping more than 10 device(s), Project Guangyuan will cover your shipping fee.

By advocating idle devices (i.e. mobile phones, tablets, and laptops) and supporting software resources, we are advocating for education opportunities for children. Our mission is to bridge the digital divide in education for Chinese children.
